First Visit

Plan on 30 to 60 minutes for your initial visit.

Brief Paperwork

Upon entering the office, we have some brief paperwork for you to fill out. The paperwork provides us with general information about yourself and your condition. Some insurance plans, may require additional paperwork.

Insurance/Payment plans

While you are completing your paper work we will make a photocopy of your insurance card and verify your chiropractic benefits. If you do not have insurance, payment arrangements will be made prior to you receiving treatment. For cash patients we accept cash, personal checks, charge cards and debit cards.

Consultation

Once you have completed the necessary paperwork, you will have a consultation with the doctor to discuss your current condition, review your health history, discuss any additional health-related problems and address any concerns you may have. The doctor will also determine if chiropractic treatment is appropriate at this time for your condition.

History & Examination

In order to determine how to best treat your condition the doctor will ask you various in depth questions. Next, a number of specialized orthopedic and neurologic tests as well as a spinal examination will be performed to determine which tissues are affected and to what extent.

X-Ray Studies

Your specific condition may require us to take x-rays to further evaluate your current physical condition, rule out more serious conditions and assist in developing the most accurate diagnosis and an effective, personal treatment plan for you.

Please advise the doctor if you are pregnant, are under going radiation therapy or have had spinal x-rays or advanced imging such as an MRI or CT Scan in the past.

Same Day Treatment

Once finished with the examination and all appropriate studies, the doctor will explain his findings and initial treatment recommendations. Patients will generally be provided with their first treatment during this same visit. This may include spinal adjustments, physical therapies, and/or soft tissue therapies.

Home Instructions

Prior to leaving, patients will be given instructions on certain activities or procedures to be conducted at home. This may include ice or heat application instructions, avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home exercises and/or stretches.

Schedule Your Next Appointment

You will be given a convenient appointment time for your follow-up visit. Generally speaking, patients are seen within 1-2 days and are provided with a complete report of findings. Treatment options for your condition will also be discussed during this time.
